End of the Year
Can you believe the year is nearly over? We have been so busy that the time just seemed to fly right past us. I've had a great year and I've truly enjoyed working with your child this year. I appreciate all of the support that you've given throughout the year and I'd like to wish your child much success in the years to come.
I encourage you to get your child involved in the summer reading program available at the St. Joseph Public Library. Your child has grown as a reader this year and the summer reading program is a wonderful opportunity to keep him/her interested and involved in reading throughout the summer.
Reading Camp
Tomorrow is going to be another hot day, and we will be outside for most of the day! Please make sure to have your child bring a water bottle, and putting sunscreen on before they come may be a good idea as well. We will be in the courtyard where there is a lot of shade, but it is still sunny.
Multiplication
Our Ice Cream Multiplication Challenge ends this week. IXL, flashcards, or EveryDay Math online games are great ways to practice. :) We will be celebrating on Wednesday, June 9th. For every test that they pass, that’s how much ice cream and toppings that they get. If you need to know where your student is at, please reach out.
Summer Reading Challenge!
Look for Mr. Hubble’s notes on this activity throughout the summer! Also, continuing to work on multiplication facts throughout the summer will really help students feel ready for 4th grade. Keep reading as well!
Cleaning
As we clean up our classroom this week and send things home, it would be helpful for your child to bring in a plastic grocery bag or extra bag to carry things home. Thank you!
