Character Strength:Humor
This week our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on our Love of Learning. P2 defines it as: You like to laugh and bring smiles to other people.
Math Test
We will be finishing our fraction unit next week. We have broken this unit up into three parts, so students have been learning about equivalent fractions for the last week, and we will be testing on this Wednesday. To review this skill, students could work on IXL skills: W.1-6.
March Reading Madness Update
We are on to the Final Four in our March Reading Madness! The final four books are: All the Way to the Top, The Oldest Student, Pacho Nacho, and Soaked. Please ask your child which of these is their favorite. The voting for round three is to be completed by Tuesday. If you would like to check out the Reading Month Website, click here.
Multiplication
After spring break we will begin our next multiplication challenge...ice cream! Please have your child begin reviewing their multiplication facts over the next few weeks. The ice cream challenge will be very similar to the pizza challenge we did in January, but instead of slices, students will earn ice cream scoops and toppings. :)
Spring Weather
As we get back to school and temperatures warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees. If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.
